SPECIAL INEXPENSIVE WALL TREATMENTS AND WINDOW TREATMENTS FOR KIDS ROOMS

Are you looking for special but inexpensive ways to do a wall treatment for a child's room?
They now have chevron, scallop, and wave painters tape by FROG TAPE!
There are two ways this tape can be used. If you already have a color on the wall and want to add a chevron pattern, You can tape off a section of the wall with two horizontal strips of tape and paint between the two tapes. Remove the tape when finished. The other method is to put the tape on the wall first and paint over the entire wall. after the paint dries, remove the tape to expose the pattern. These two methods will give you very different results. These painters tapes are available at local hardware stores.

DECORATING WITH RIBBONS

Recently while in a  model home with a client, I noticed this adorable little girl's room.   The room had this beautiful and simple wall treatment around the room.  There were rows of ribbons about 12" top to bottom tacked to the wall with a glue gun.  Tying  ribbons into bows and adding them sporadically on top of the ribbons gives an extra girly touch.  The sky is the limit! How about winding ribbon around the fan blades of that less than attract  fan in your Child's room?

Now onto the Windows!  There are so many cute ways to add the ribbon elements to the windows!  You can install an inexpensive rod, take different ribbons cut in equal lengths of 36".  Fold the ribbon in half and hold the folded part up to the front of the rod .  Take the two loose ends and put them under the rod

and to the back of the rod and slip them into the loop.  Pull tightly to cause the ribbon to knot itself around the rod.  Do this several times until the rod is full.  You can also us different lengths of ribbon for a more layered look.

How about a ribbon bed skirt or a ribbon...  Oh!  The ideas are flowing now!!
